Years ago (in 2006-2007), I was working as an interpreter at Ursus Breweries in Timisoara (part of the SABMiller PLC Group). It was a couple of weeks packed with training courses. One of the trainers I met there was operational excellence expert Luke Nickola, who delivered a training on continuous improvement.

Earlier this year, Luke told me he was coming to Timișoara again, as a keynote speaker at the Process Excellence Summit organized by Proactive Communication. I felt I had to be the one to translate his presentations into Romanian, so I contacted the event organizer. A few friendly emails later, I was part of the translation team. I translated two of Luke's presentations and I also had the great pleasure of attending one of his exciting courses.
